Sergey Andreev: Biography of the painter. Sergei Andreev was born on 16/01/1970 in Orenburg. In 1985 he finished high school. During the school years he discovered his talent for painting, but he opted for a sporty direction and was Orenburgse champion in skiing. In 1988 he finished his training in physical education. During his studies he offered aid as a volunteer for posters and billboards to illustrate cultural meetings. After graduating he was drafted into the army to serve his country. But barely six months later he was sent home due to his medical condition. In the 90s he worked as a teacher of physics for a class of mentally handicapped children. In 1994 he developed his painting skills and starts using it again in 1997 when he participated in a group (of young artists) with erotic themes-christian-surrealism. Russian critics have been appointed as new primitive style / kitsch. 1999: Exhibition of History Museum in Orenburg. The exhibition was closed by the police that the erotic and political theme censored. 1999: Induvidual exhibition in the common homeplace of Orenburg. Again, his paintings were censored, parts of it were covered for the public. 1999: Sergei Andreev gets his membership card of Russian painter association of Russian painters. This is important to be recognized. In 2000 he came to Belgium.

Philip Volckaert studied painting. The artist has been exploring more mixed media in recent years. This usually happens by linking object trouvés to a contemporary interpretation. This creates confusion and emotion at the same time.

Rafael De Bruyne: Beyond the art of art, Rafaël De Bruyne makes art about art and art as art as an individuation of a concept. Formed as an art scholar at the University of Ghent, he uses art as a medium to share his love of art with the wider public, through beauty and cerebral data. Sometimes to think, sometimes to look, always to enjoy.

The Interactive Womb Project was born out of the collaboration of Vladimir Van Kai and Rinus De Vos. Audio-visual Artist and Scientist finally came together for something unparalleled in European art scene. In Opposition to Flotation Tank approach (deprivation of senses in dark and salty water tank ) they used sensual overload hypothesis to induce altered state of mind in participants of that experimental installation. It is immerse and interactive place where some trans-magical experience takes place. It happens always in presence of alien-artist inside who guides the human subjects into the New World. They use calculated noise frequency compositions (Sacral Noise), binaural tunes, asynchronous color light gadget Lights-of-Life, hand held stroboscopes 1-15 Hz, specially designed perfume, and a biologically shaped space capsule to induce detachment from Old Reality. Even if one cannot recognize and understand those new things he still can experience them. The Womb is a Place-in-Space to experience Nothingness.

Vladimir Kaigorodov, scientist and artist, living and working in Belgium. His main direction is cross-pollination of Science and Art in the Frankenstein-style projects. Performances:

Jack Wright & Evan Lipson: pls see previous mail (Jak-Ev).

TraumaSutra/TraumaTerrestrial is Peter De Koning (TraumaSutra) & Reinout Rinus De Vos (UltraTerrestrial) together they forge their ritual drones and industrial darkambient to a sonic psychedelic noise soundscape with no return.
This time, they are joined by the incredible multi-talented musician Peter Geysels. Using and manipulating instruments such as the kaval and the bass clarinet, he takes you from one world to another.

The Flying Ostriches come together: word (poetry) and music (sound curtain). A contemplative way of thinking with an electronic manipulation of acoustic sounds.

The Ghent multidisciplinary artist Jackjohannes hemp alias JJHemp was born on November 25, 1973 in Ghent. And still lives in this charming East Flemish city. Where he lets inspiration be inspired by the diversity of culture and people. Again and again he tries to find what is happening socially, and then to use these themes as subjects for his creations. Jackjohannes hemp alias jjhemp symbolizes the variety of instruments that the artist uses. Where jack stands for the creations he makes, johannes symbolizes the texts he writes. And stands for High Energetic Mind Person and symbolizes the social involvement that the artist feels. And through which he always tries to initiate social debates with his creations. Feel free to contact jjhemp both to book him for one of his performances or to start artistic projects with him.

Contra Naturam: Contra Naturam is the part in De Bruyne Rafael's oeuvre that he practices as a sound artist. By a connoisseur already described as 'meta-music' he uses samples and 'found' sounds (by analogy with found footage in video art) in addition to field recordings and sound generated from instruments he plays without any knowledge of how music should be made. The result is a sound carpet with conceptual games and experimental sounds that both entertain and amaze at the same time.

Jack Wright: Saxes

Evan Lipson: Double Bass

Jack and Evan have been musically connected ever since the mid-2000's when Evan lived in Jack's Spring Garden Music House in Philadelphia.
They've toured frequently together throughout the Midwest and Southeast as Wrest with Ben Bennett, and more recently with Zach Darrup as Roughhousing, whose most recent tour was April 2018.
The two recorded this with drummer Chris Davis in Nashville July 2017.

On their West Coast tour in Feb. 2018, they performed in Vancouver, at the Seattle Festival of Improvised Music, in Olympia, Portland, Corvalis, Eugene, Arcata, Grass Valley, San Francisco, Bezerkely and Oakland.

They will be collaborating with numerous musicians en route, among them Dylan van der Schyff, Torsten Muller, Greg Kelley, Mark Kaylor, Doug Theriault, Tom Djll, Tim Perkis, Bryan Day and Gino Robair.

Their next tour will be November 2018 in Europe: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Brussels, Ghent, Cologne, Hamburg, Copenhagen, various cities in Finland and others.

Bios:
Jack Wright (b. 1942) is a saxophone extremist, dedicated to to free playing since 1979.

Described twenty years ago as an "undergrounder by design," he is a veteran improviser based mainly in Philadelphia.
He has played mostly on tour through the US and Europe since the early 80s in search of interesting partners and playing situations. Now at 75 he is still the "Johnny Appleseed of Free Improvisation," as guitarist Davey Williams called him in the 80s, on the road as much as ever.
He continues to inspire players outside music-school careerdom, playing sessions with visiting and resident players old and new. His partners over the years are mostly unknown to the music press, and too numerous to mention.
He's said to have the widest vocabulary of any saxophonist, including leaping pitches, punchy, precise timing, sharp and intrusive multiphonics, surprising gaps of silence, and obscene animalistic sounds.
He was interviewed recently by Cadence Magazine (p. 55-73), but for a true assessment of his and his partners music and for links to his writings go here: Spring Garden Music,

Evan Lipson (b. 1981) has operated as a musician since adolescence—intuitively seeking the liminal realms in which intellect and instinct, history and myth, and creative and destructive force intersect.
Drawn towards aberrant perspectives at an early age, his formative experiences were primarily rooted in extreme and often discordant forms of rock, metal, free improvisation, modernist composition, jazz, oddball pop, soundtracks, noise, and electronic music.
Massimo Ricci, of Touching Extremes writes, "Lipson easily stands among the best bassists I've heard lately, his terrifically strapping tone epitomizing the decision to really learn how an instrument works."
Lipson most frequently tours with Roughhousing (including Zach Darrup and Jack Wright).
He is also active with Who's Your Daddy? featuring dancer Cilla Vee/Claire Elizabeth Barratt and guitarist Davey Williams.
Lipson has composed music for several films, as well as a recent collaboration with Duplex Planet-creator David Greenberger, Tyson Rogers, and Bob Stagner of the Shaking Ray Levis.
He also may or may not have some degree of affiliation with an organization known as MEINSCHAFT. For links to his music and more info on his partners over the years go here.
