Oeil Kollectif is a busy band to say the least, with more amazing Musicians

you could dream of.

Hapax is a bit smaller. Two cellos. But they vibe like no others.

Fortunately, they will meet up in Haekem.
Friday evening, 8 pm!

We know they concocted insane program.
On the behalf of our brain healthiness, they said...

A must-see(-hear-live).

See YOU.

Everybody told me: 'incredible', 'amazing'... Or stood speechless!

Haekem is thrilled to welcome a three-night long performance.

Guess what?
You are among the performers!

What's it all about?
Back to uterus!

Sound, lights. Feeling. In-depth memories.
Back to premises of your life, when you confusedly discerned you are human.

More: along the three days, tremendous poets will accompany everyone like an anointment.

An investiture to life? An experience to share.

See You.

Gerard

Foreword
Interactive Womb - L'Ut-u-rus Interactivus - 21 - 22 - 23 October 2016 from 6:00 pm

@ Everyday 21 to 23 October (Doors 5:00 pm)
The Wombs (Everyday from 6:00 pm)
The Womb is a Place-in-Space to experience Nothingness. We employ calculated noise frequency compositions (Sacral Noise), binaural tunes, asynchronous colour light gadget Lights-of-Life, hand held stroboscopes (1-15 Hz), specially designed perfume, and a biologically shaped space capsule to induce detachment from Old Reality.
The Womb is an immersive and interactive container where some magical experiences occur, which happen in the presence of an alien-artist inside who guides the human subjects into the New World.
http://www.interactivewomb.org https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAUMctRCAnM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ1fvFbAcoA

Vladimir Kaigorodov, De-Paintings (Art-Fermentation) (Everyday from 6:00 pm)
On the entrance. Vladimir devotes special energy to rescuing and recuperating discarded art works and takes steps to rectify the paintings potential for dignity by scRATching away and removing potentionally damaging aspects or simply banal ones. The paintings are then reborn into the inspiring realm that Simone Weil donoted as that of the ''decreased''

Reinout Rinus De Vos, Visuals & Projections on the wall. (Everyday from 6:00 pm)
Reinout uses minimalistic interactions in his experimental films.
Can the viewer guess what is going on?

@ Friday 21 October (Doors 5:00 pm)
The Wombs, De-Paintings, Visuals & Projections on the wall. (Everyday from 6:00 pm)

Traumasutra & Peter Geysers (Friday 21 October 8:00 pm)
Peter Geysels and Peter De Koning met in the rehearsal room of dark industrial band For Greater good. Their roles in what would become their future project were clear from this very first meeting: Geysels played his flutes (Kaval / bass clarinet) with great virtuosity while Peter drummed quite randomly on found objects. Noise against harmonie... It would become the guidebook of their later collaboration. While both musicians don't share the same musical background, there were a lot of interests they have in common.
Both are attracted to the darker side of life and both is to explore this side in an experimental musical matter. Every new composition starts with a mutual improvisation. Geysels plays the Kaval, which De Koning manipulates in real time. Together they use snippets of this improvisation to compose a basic track. The process is circular, as Geysels uses this new track to add more wood winds.

TraumaTerrestrial (Friday 21 October 9:00 pm)
TraumaTerrestrial is Peter De Koning (TraumaSutra) & Reinout De Vos (UltraTerrestrial) together they forge their ritual drones and industrial darkambient to a sonic psychedelic noise soundscape with no return.

@ Saturday 22 October (Doors 5:00 pm)
The Wombs, De-Paintings, Visuals & Projections on the wall. (Everyday from 6:00 pm)

Transsonic Knocking Down (Saturday 22 October 8:00 pm)
Transsonic Knocking Down is an electronic experimental multimedia project of Reinout De Vos and Lazara Rosell Albear.
A study of different kind of sounds using the base drones of planets in combination with spoken word and visuals.
They include in the compositions extended sound manipulations, altered field recordings, wave generators, subsonic modulations among other sources for an other worldly experience.
From Klaus Schulze to Acid Mother Temple, from Lydia Lunch to Throbling Gristle, just to name some influences.
Each concert has a specific and peculiar atmosphere that interacts with the environment. The open mindness of this project gives international artists working with different media the possibility to contribute to a transcendental experience. They already collaborate with Jorgen Teller from Denmark, Maja Jantar from Belgium, Vladimir Kai from Russia and recently they teamed up with cuban Projecto I.A (Liam Suarez and Alexis De La O).
The audience is blast away, knocked of their chairs but at the end always lifted up.

Matsumoto+Rodz approach attracted our attention, so we want to introduce them.

One of their favorite quote:
"I think musicians rape music...
In spanish they say "tocar: To touch".
Meaning to play.
I think some people touch music without her allowing them."
(Hector Rey)

They use pitches to skim over music. To cross your mind!

Mitsuaki plays an old Japanese electro upgraded lute.
Lauren uses reeds, little percussive or hijacked objects and raw electronic noises.

They create no so-called musical work, but a sensory space.
"Touché", you can be confident you'll be.

Gerard

Mitsuaki Matsumoto

"audio-visualist", visual artist, composer, sound performer, scenographer, part-time lecturer of Tottori University (Japan)

Under the name of Mathieu Martin, he had been developed it his work, which had no particular direction nor visible form, for the goal to give to the spectators a physiological feeling. By this point of view, he creates also scenography.

As a musician, He plays in differents contexts: acoustic improvisation music (bandoneon), prepared sitar (self-made instrument), electronic sound accompaniment for the dance etc. .. He also plays in collaboration with instrumentalists : Pierre Bastien, Jac berrocal, Itaru Oki, Cristian Vogel, Roland Pinsard, Vincent Laubeuf, Hugues Vincent, Cédric Piromalli, Pascal Le Gal, Patrice Grente, Mori-Shige, Ko Ishikawa etc. And choreographers, notably with Jayachandran Palahzy (indian choreographer), he played in Venice Biennale, Bonn Biennale, Monaco Dance Forum, Dance Munich, Julidance(Amsterdam) etc..

His solo work concern about "no-sence". He tries to create "a sensory space", not only musical work. For realise it, he use different means, from acoustic to electric, from analog to digital, from stereo to surround.

Lauren Rodz

Arranged objects and electronics...
A raw grasp over human activities from the sound point of view...
Activity of opening a door and accepting / transforming what you find beyond.
Laurenrodz performs in the field of improvised music, abstract noise... He performs with Elo Masing, Miriam Siebenstadt, Dario Fariello, Mathieu Garrouste, Naoto Yamagishi, Sebastien Lemporte, Alex Riva...

Laurenrodz works with improvised audio-visual performance,
the manipulation of rickety devices and imaginary operations peeking under the veil of daily things...

"Interweaving sound, movement and image in unexpected ways,
Laurent Rodriguez presents the audience with absurd and dada-esque performances, enacted with beauty, humour, and poetic evanescence. With a range of influences going from experimental cinema to fluxus performance, to pull disparate ideas into new forms of interactive media, striking a peculiar balance between deconstructionist abstraction and primordial weirdness." - Cal Lyal

RESONARE 17 - BIOMAN >< SOLOMAN - Fri Oct 7 - 8:30 pm

It's an honor to welcome Mike Goyvaerts and his RESONARE Experimental & Spontaneous Music Series.
Now 17th!
BIOMAN >< SOLOMAN

- Set #1 BIOMAN saxophone quartet: Sakina AbdouVincent DebaetsLaurent RigautJean-Baptiste Rubin.
All of them play as well altotenor and/or baritone saxophones.

- Set #2 'RANDOMATICS' solo percussion: small & big(ger) percussionobjectstoyswords.

Bioman Quartet
"The Bioman Quartet musician’s play each 3 different saxophones (alto, tenor and baritone).
With the Brian Eno "Discreet Music" project they tackle the thorny issue of the auditor /musician relation.
Through an headphone device the musicians listen to and improvise on the same piece of music, which the audience cannot hear. Also with their headphones the players cannot hear one another and only the link to the music makes that the result stays on the verge of cacophony, but is not totally incoherent (or is it ?...).
Only the audience hears the result, the musicians themselves haven't the slightest idea.
Conclusion : the audience ignores what the musicians hear and vice versa...
Musicians : Sakina Abdou, Vincent Debaets, Jean-Baptiste Rubin et Laurent Rigaut.
Their musical backgrounds have left traces on the internet... take a look!"

Mike Goyvaerts
"Drummer, percussionist, explorer of sounds and noises, occasional author, involuntary conductor and organizer of improvised and/or experimental music concerts in the Brussels area (series Resonare).
For this solo piece he stages a set built around a horizontal bass drum which he torments with kitchen utensils, other various objects, small percussion, toys and gadgets.
'Randomatics' presents a succession of ideas, movements and sonorities acquired and elaborated during his long career
as a creative musician.
Here the percussionist becomes a poet, the drummer sketches the sounds, the composer tells his story, the improviser invents the unpredictable and the performer walks on a tight rope...
He is somewhere also on the net... good luck!"
